  • What is the price of a personalized design?

    B4 Bikes offers the opportunity of designing your own e-bike. Because these personalized designs are custom made from sketch, with a unique combination of colours, materials and optional logos, prices are on request.

Payment and shipping

  • How can I order a B4 E-Cruizer?

    Cool that you consider buying a B4 E-Cruizer. There are several options. The first option is to choose from one of our classic models, the All Black or the Indian Red. Assemble your ultimate All Black or Indian Red bike with unique elements like the saddle, tyres and hand grips by simply following the customizing steps. The second option is a fully customized bike in a colour of your choice, please send us a message with your wishes and let’s talk about the possibilities.

  • How does the payment work?

    Once you’ve chosen your B4 Bike and completed all steps for customization you can pay by using the safe payment system of this website. To completion the order requires a deposit of 100%.

  • What are the shipping costs?

    There is a lot of interest in our bikes from abroad. Our E-Cruizers are shipped in special packaging that meets all the requirements for transportation, including the relevant documentation. The fixed fee for shipping is €750 except for Latin America. On request we can also ship to Latin America; contact us to find out more.

  • When will my bike be delivered?

    We have the All Black and the Indian Red on stock. But when you prefer a personalized design with a unique combination of colours, materials and optional logos the production time of your custom made bike is roughly 4 till 6 weeks after payment.

  • Is it possible to pick-up the bike myself?

    Yes, of course. Come visit our shop, where you will be served coffee or cold beer from our very own bar. It saves the cost of shipping, and it is better for the environment. Moreover, we love to get in touch with riders and admirers of our bikes, from all over the world. Psst, the beautiful Dutch countryside, near Amsterdam, is the perfect setting to make your first ride unforgettable!

General usage

  • Why choose a B4 E-Cruizer?

    The B4 E-Cruizer is spreading positive vibes. With its cool looks and great performance power, the bike attracts and connects people, putting a big smile on the faces of riders and passers-by alike.

  • How does the B4 E-Cruizer work?

    Put the key in key hole, which is located above the crank and right under the cylinder. Turn the key to the right to activate the bike. Tilt the switch which is positioned above the key hole to activate the front and rear lights. Now you can start cruizing the bike.

     

    When you start pedalling, the motor kicks in to assist you on your way. As soon as you stop pedalling and/or brake, the motor will automatically switch off. Despite having to pedal yourself, the intensity is entirely within your control. The control console is located on the left flank of the E-Cruizer´s handlebar. This astute management system enables the rider to navigate with speeds of up to six different levels, and monitor the battery capacity at any given moment.

     

    For a smoother cycling experience, the B4 E-Cruizer is fitted with the Shimano Alfine 8 manual gear switch, neatly situated on the right flank of the handlebar, is an ingenious part of the E-Cruizer´s characteristics, and ensures a seamless transition of up to eight different pedalling intensities. Thanks to this feature, the E-Cruizer makes pedalling virtually effortless, and most importantly, enjoyable. B4 Bikes prides itself on its efficiency. By minimizing strenuous physical effort, riders can relish every relaxing moment spent atop the E-Cruizer´s saddle. Alternate between the eight various intensities, according to the nature of your terrain, to guarantee a satisfying cruize.

  • How far can I go on a full battery?

    With a fully charged battery, you are able to cruize about 100 kilometres in one charge.

  • How do I charge the battery?

    We recommend you charge the battery after each bicycle ride, regardless of the duration of your bicycle ride. The battery does NOT need to be empty in order to be charged. When the battery is fully charged the charging is automatically ended. The green LED indicator is illuminated when the battery is fully charged. Battery charging takes up to six hours from empty. We advise to unplug the charger when the battery is fully charged. First unplug the charger from the B4 E-Cruizer and subsequently unplug the power cord from the power outlet. When you order a B4 E-Cruizer you receive a matching B4 battery charger. We will adjust the charger to meet your country´s socket requirements. To guarantee a longer life span of the battery we recommend to ride the battery empty once every year.

    CHARGE THE BATTERY AT LEAST ONCE EVERY 4 - 6 WEEKS, REGARDLESS OF USE.

  • What is the expected battery life?

    Charge the B4 E-Cruizer as often as you can. During normal use of the bike, the battery´s lifeline can last up to three years. CHARGE THE BATTERY AT LEAST ONCE EVERY 4 - 6 WEEKS, REGARDLESS OF USE.

  • How to lock the bike and protect against theft?

    To start and control the bike, use the key to activate and deactivate the bike. To avoid theft we recommend our chain lock. The chain can be integrated into the B4 bag, this gives the possibility of locking the bike as well as the leather bag itself.

  • Is the bike weatherproof?

    Come rain or shine, the e-bike is ever-dependable. Our B4 E-Cruizers are splash proof and they love sunny weather. But as with all batteries, it is not good to expose them to the sun for too long. It is advised to keep your bike in the shade.

  • Is there a child seat or bicycle carrier rack available?

    The B4 E-Cruizer doesn’t come with the option of a carrier rack or child seat.

  • Can the B4 E-Cruizer also be used for business or marketing purposes?

    Yes, we regularly work with companies that use the bike as a marketing tool and playful design object. For example architects, exclusive travel agencies, the European Space Agency, restaurants, dance schools or concept stores. The striking design of the E-Cruizer guarantees conversation.   • Can I test ride the B4 E-Cruizer?

    Yes. We’re willing to let you test drive our E-Cruizers, to demonstrate how awesome they are. We know nothing beats the feeling of cruizing on a B4 Bike, so if you swing by one of our various dealerships, located in Baambrugge (nearby Amsterdam), London, or Dubai, you can discover it for yourself. Drop us a line to book an appointment, and we’ll make it happen.

  • Where can I go for service or maintenance on my B4 Bike?

    Service and maintenance can be performed at our workshop in the Netherlands. Most parts of the B4 E-Cruizer can be fitted with maintenance in qualified e-bike shops. We do supply all component parts of the B4 E-Cruizer upon demand. In case there is a problem with your E-Cruizer.

  • If I need an accessory or spare part, where can I buy it?

    You can buy all desired parts directly from us. We can supply all component parts of the B4 E-Cruizer.

Technology and performance

  • What speed versions are available?

    Our bikes come in two variants: the B4 E-Cruizer 25 km/h and the B4 E-Cruizer 40 km/h, the latter of the two is only available outside of Europe due to the laws and regulations.

  • Can I tune performance of my bike?

    We offer two speed variants of the B4 E-Cruizer. However we do not offer speed performance tuning.

  • What about the uphill performance?

    Our B4 E-Cruizers have a formidable pickup, and amazing performance power on flat surfaces. However, when cruizing uphill, the maximum achievable speed of 25 km/h will be reduced, subject to the angle of inclination. That means you’ll need to pedal harder to increase your speed action. For hilly areas, we therefore recommend the 40 km/h speed variant of the B4 E-Cruizer.

  • What are the rules regarding the electric bike?

    An electric bicycle is a bicycle with an electric motor that supports the rider when pedalling. The rider must continue to pedal while cruizing. An e-bike with pedal assistance up to 25 km/h applies as a normal bicycle. That means, a driver's license, registration, insurance and helmet are not necessary. A speed pedelec is an electric bike that provides pedal assistance up to 45 kilometers per hour. Therefore, applied to speed pedelecs rules other than ‘normal’ (electric) bikes. In Europe, the maximum speed for e-bikes will remain limited at 25 km/h.

  • What about the laws for the speed limit?

    Many countries have enacted electric bicycle laws to regulate the use of electric bicycles. In Europe, the maximum speed for e-bikes is restricted to 25 km/h. Laws may vary outside Europe. Therefore, check the rules of your country before you choose your E-Cruizer configuration.

Warranty

  • How long is my B4 E-Cruizer under warranty?

    To find answers about the provided warranty, check out the various components of the bike listed below.

     

    • Frame

    Two year warranty*. All B4 frames are guaranteed against manufacturing defect (defined as a defect in materials or workmanship) for two years from the original date of delivery. If a failure should occur due to faulty materials or workmanship as delivered with the B4 E-Cruizer during the guarantee period, the frame will be replaced with the same or the nearest compatible frame available. Where a claim is deemed not to be warrantable, the customer will bear the cost of replacement.

     

    • Coating work

    Two year warranty*. Original paint finish on all powder coated parts, including frame, fork and fenders is covered for a total period of two years from the original date of delivery. This excludes areas affected by cable rub and damage due to normal wear and tear or crash damage.

     

    • Mechanical parts

    One year warranty*. Your B4 E-Cruizer will come with parts that we have carefully selected from other manufacturers, and whilst they come on your B4 E-Cruizer, the warranty of these parts will fall under the warranty terms and conditions of the relevant brand or distributor. ‘Mechanical parts’ defined as grips, inner tubes, tyres, cables, brake pads, chain, chain rings, sprockets and bearings have a 90-day limited warranty. Claims for these parts must be made within the 90-day period from your original date of delivery. All other parts not mentioned above are guaranteed against a defect in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the original date of delivery, subject to the terms and conditions of this limited warranty.

     

    • Electrical parts

    Two year warranty*. Your B4 E-Cruizer is fitted with a NuVinci® Harmony™ electronic hub. This hub is covered for a total period of two years from original date of delivery. Other electrical components supplied on your B4 E-Cruizer, including the control panel and attached wires, are covered from one year from original date of delivery

     

    • Battery

    Two year warranty*. Your B4 E-Cruizer battery is covered for a total period of two year from original date of delivery. Use of any charger other than the original B4 E-Cruizer charger supplied, or a spare or replacement supplied by B4, will invalidate the warranty. This limited warranty excludes cosmetic damage to the battery casing due to normal wear and tear or crash damage.

     

    • Charger

    One year warranty*. Your B4 E-Cruizer charger is covered for a total period of one year from original date of delivery. This warranty excludes any damage or failure caused by improper use, accidental damage caused by the owner and is invalid in the instance of the owner tampering with the B4 E-Cruizer charger in any way.

     

    *Exclusions

    Any other claim not included in the above is void. This limited warranty does not cover paint damage, rust, failure arising from customer modification or non-original components fitted aftermarket, or failure arising from improper or no maintenance. This warranty does not apply to damage or failure due to accident, abuse, misuse, neglect, theft or act of God. Claims involving these issues will not be honoured. This warranty will be cancelled if the B4 E-Cruizer is/was used for rental purposes or if it is used to transport more than one person at a time. Please note: pressure washing of the bicycle and/or its components increases wear and therefore decreases the lifespan of its components. Any claim due to a fault that is found to be a result of pressure washing will not be honoured. Please note: removing or tampering with the handle bars may damage the wiring contained within. Any damage caused to the wiring found to be a result of tampering by the owner or any individual hired by the owner will not be honoured. We advise customers to keep receipts for all maintenance work carried out as proof in the event of a claim being made.

  • What about the warranty conditions and cost settlement?

    The limited warranty is extended to the original purchaser only. We inspect and test every E-Cruizer thoroughly before it leaves our workspace. We advise you to do the same immediately upon delivery to check for any damage inadvertently caused in transit. Please contact us by phone or email for additional information BEFORE making a warranty claim.

     

    If a warrantable failure of a part should occur during the warranty period, the part will be repaired if possible, or replaced with direct or the nearest compatible replacement. In the event of a claim being made, B4 Holding BV will arrange any necessary collection through our own approved courier company. Upon receipt of the bike, a technician for B4 Holding BV will evaluate whether guarantee is given or not. Although any disassembly and transport costs are always initially to be paid by the owner, if the claim is found to be warrantable and made within the first six months from original date of delivery, these costs will be refunded.

     

    In the event of only a part(s) needing to be sent for evaluation and repair, a trained technician must be used to disassemble and reassemble the affected parts. In some instances the complete bicycle may need to be returned to B4 for inspection and repair. Proof of purchase in the form of a copy of an original receipt must be provided with all claims, along with a copy of the original delivery note.
